Dear SSCV Athlete,

Congratulations for an amazing 2011 – 2012 winter season!  Thank you for being an important part of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail.  We are so excited to have you as part of our team, and now we need your help!

Spring’s arrival marks SSCV’s Annual Scholarship Raffle, and proceeds benefit SSCV’s Scholarship Fund.  Did you know that SSCV awards scholarships to over 110 athletes in our programs?  This financial assistance helps offset program fees and gives these athletes the opportunity to be a part of SSCV, develop Courage, Character & Commitment, and achieve their dreams.

Included in your packet are 10 Raffle Tickets.  As an SSCV athlete, please sell your 10 tickets – or more! – and help even more young skiers and snowboarders join the fun at SSCV.  If everyone sells 10 tickets we’ll make more money for the Scholarship Fund than ever before!  Last year the raffle only made $10,000, but:

100% participation = $50,000 or more in Scholarship Funds!

It’s really easy, and we have a collection of amazing prizes for the raffle winners – including a Round of Golf for Four at Red Sky Ranch!  See raffle tickets for a listing of all prizes.

Tickets cost $10 each.  Here’s a sample way to ask for a ticket sale:

SSCV Athlete: Would you like to buy a raffle ticket to support the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail Scholarship Fund? You could win fill in the blank with one of the prizes!

Buyer: What is the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail Scholarship Fund?

SSCV Athlete: SSCV is a local, non-profit organization that offers competition ski and snowboard programs for kids. The scholarship fund offers financial assistance to those in need, so any child can participate in the programs.

All of the info you need is printed on the ticket, and here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

• Raffle tickets may not be sent through the U.S. Mail
• Only cash and checks are accepted; please make checks payable to Ski & Snowboard Club Vail or SSCV
• Unfortunately, due to raffle regulations, we are unable to offer prizes to the person who sells the most tickets.  However, we will celebrate you at the club and in our newsletters!

Please return your raffle ticket stubs and money to SSCV no later than Thursday, April 12^th. The drawing will be held on April 13^th at 3PM.  Presence is not required to win.
