    Aldo began his coaching career at Wilmot Mt., a small ski area outside of Chicago in 1979. From 1981 to '84 Aldo was a coach at Ski Club Vail. He left Ski Club Vail to go to the U.S. Ski Team where he was Women's Head World Cup SL and GS coach until 1986 while still residing in the Vail Valley. In 1986 Aldo and wife Sara, also an SCV coach at the time, moved to Steamboat where Aldo became the Head Alpine Coach for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. In 1990, Aldo received the award as "USSA Domestic Coach of the Year". In 1994 he returned to the U.S. Ski Team first as Men's Head World Cup SL and GS coach becoming Athlete Development Director in 1996 and finally as Development Team Head Coach prior to returning to Vail with wife Sara and son River, in August of 2002 to assume the Director's position.

    Ken deline

    In 1981, Mr. DeLine graduated from the University of Colorado with a Degree in Finance. Since graduating, Mr. DeLine has been involved with starting several enterprise including DeLine Land and Cattle, DeLine Box & Display, Center Partners, Development Solutions Group, CO2 Solutions, Brauns Bar and Grill and currently Semo Milling. Through the development of these many organizations in varying capacities, Mr. Deline has developed a management structure called the Integrated Management System that provides a road map for business success.

    History/Background:
    Phil grew up in Minnesota ski racing in the upper Midwest. He continued ski racing while attending Harvard College (Class of 1979). Phil has been involved in financial markets since having run the financial institutions investment banking business at Morgan Stanley as well as serving as CFO of the firm during the 1990’s. For the past dozen years, Phil has been trying to build the asset management firm of the future. Phil has a strong interest in education and hopes to assist with the on-going growth and development of Vail Academy. Phil and his wife, Amy, along with their three daughters live in Greenwich, CT, but also spend considerable time in the outdoors in the mountains of central Idaho north of Sun Valley.

    History/Background: 

    Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Ceil and her husband, Steve, moved to the Vail Valley in 1982.  Ceil worked for the Town of Vail organizing special events until 1989 when she took a position with the Vail Valley Foundation.  And she has been there since. In that time, she has assisted in organizing two World Alpine Ski Championships and two World Mountain Bike Championships.

    She started in 1989, coordinating the organization's slate of events and working with their sponsors. In 1994, she was named Vice President of Operations and identified her ultimate goal of running the operations of the 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships. Folz was named president of the Vail Valley Foundation in 1999, presiding over all Vail Valley Foundation programs in the areas of athletics, culture and education, including the annual Birds of Prey World Cup and American Ski Classic. She currently serves as co-chair of the Beaver Creek/Vail bid for the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships.

    He was appointed Co-President of the Mountain Division in September 2008. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Beaver Creek since January 2008 and had served as Senior Vice President since 1999. Prior to his position at Vail Resorts, Mr. Garnsey served as President of the Vail Valley Foundation from 1991-1999. Mr. Garnsey joined the staff of the Foundation as Vice President in 1984. He served as the Executive Vice President for the 1989 World Alpine Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek and headed the campaign to bring the 1999 World Championships back to the Vail Valley, serving as president of the organizing committee. Mr. Garnsey is President of the Beaver Creek Resort Company, the Bachelor Gulch Village Association and the Village at Arrowhead Association boards. Additionally, Mr. Garnsey is a Director of the Vail Valley Foundation and the The Vilar Center Foundation.

    History/Background: 

    Brad is a Colorado native, originally from Fort Collins. While attending the University of Colorado, Brad competed with the National Championship teams of the early 1970’s, earning Honorable Mention All-American Status in Downhill. His coach, mentor, and friend Bill Marolt, encouraged him to pursue coaching; leading to six years of travel and work with the U.S. Ski Team as a Europa Cup and World Cup Coach. In 1985, Brad was named International Coach of the Year by the United States Ski Association (USSA).

    Brad is married to Karen Ghent, formerly Lancaster, a U.S. Ski Team veteran and former SSCV Alpine Program Director.  Together they have three daughters, Erika, Christa, and Abby - all Ski & Snowboard Club Vail athletes/alumni.

He has had a life-long passion for skiing and ski racing. Jim has lived in Vail for almost 12 years, with his beautiful wife Lynda and two daughters, Naomi and Lizzy.

    Phil was born in Chicago and after completing his education, worked in New York City as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs & Co., as a consultant for Booz Allan & Hamilton, as Chief Financial Officer for the supermarket chain Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. (A&P), and finally, as the CFO of the publishing company Macmillan, Inc. Phil moved to Vail in 1987. Since then, Phil has been a real estate developer and has owned several retail businesses. Phil is married to his wife, Louise, and has three children, Tiffany, Schuyler and Whitney; all of whom are alumni of the program.

    History/Background:

    Having grown up in Michigan with a passion for boards strapped to his feet, Tim moved on to attend The Stratton Mountain School where he won the Junior Nationals GS in 1977. He then attended Dartmouth College ’81 where he was a three time All-American and Captain of the ski team. While at Dartmouth, Tim was named to the U.S. C team and afterwards while based out of Winter Park, CO, raced on the Professional Ski Racing circuit having several top three finishes. In the summer months, Tim pursues several water sports having finished 2nd at the Water Ski Nationals in ’83 and finishing 6th in the San Francisco World Cup Windsurfing event in ‘87. After twenty years in San Francisco, working for Montgomery Securities and Thomas Weisel Partners, Tim and his family moved to Colorado for a lifestyle change and to open the TWP office in Denver. Tim and his wife, Nina, have a daughter Elli and son Wyatt who is a second year J3 at SSCV.

    Jeff grew up in New England and attended the Green Mountain Valley School . He was a top junior ski racer and went on to Dartmouth College where he was Dartmouth Ski Team Captain in 1991.  After Dartmouth, Jeff moved to Boulder, Colorado with his wife, Brenda, to work in the cable industry for HBO and TCI.

    In 1998, the couple and firstborn, Clay, moved in order for Jeff to attend Harvard Business School followed by a short 2-year stint in Silicon Valley.  The Kirwoods returned to Colorado, and Jeff worked for Liberty Media in Denver for 4 years.  Jeff currently is the Managing Director of Lakeside Capital Group, LCC, a private equity firm based in Avon, Colorado.  Jeff and Brenda currently live in Vail with their 3 children, Clay, Kate and Nick, all of whom are SSCV athletes.

    Steve has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry. In June 2002, concurrent with joining Charter Communications, Mr. Santamaria’s skills were tapped for use by Charters CEO, when he was the first Vice President appointed to the, “Office of the President”. Prior to joining Charter Communications, Steve spent two and a half years as the CEO of a fixed wireless operator. In this role Mr. Santamaria strategically built last mile, high-speed wireless facilities in underserved communities, where he directly competed with Cable Television and Telephone incumbents. In 1992, Mr. Santamaria was recruited and selected by TCI executives to “right” the cable giant’s faltering flagship cable system, at that time TCI's largest Metropolitan operation, located in the heart of The Cable Capitol, Denver, Colorado.

    David grew up in the Vail Valley and joined SSCV in 1983.  David's two sisters also skied with SSCV, and his father was a member of the Board of Trustees for many years. A member of the U.S. Ski Team from 1993-1997, David was also a two-year captain of the Dartmouth College Ski Team.  While at Dartmouth, David won two NCAA titles.

    After retiring from ski racing in 2000, David completed his education and returned to Vail in 2002 to run the family construction/development business. David is married to his wife, Rachel, and has a son, Wyatt.
