Carey Davis
A former SSCV athlete, Carey returned to Vail in 2006 to raise her boys, enjoy her extended family, childhood friends and the Rocky Mountains. Since graduating from the University of Montana, School of Education in 1992, she has taught grades K, 3rd, and 6th – 9th. Just prior to returning to Colorado, she spent 11 years at Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, MA. In addition to teaching, Carey coached soccer and skiing, was a dorm parent and ran the academic support program at Eaglebrook. Geoff Grimmer, VSSA Head of School says “Carey provides a tremendous boost to VSSA in school wide systems and program implementation. She is a master scheduler, communicator, leads our Advisory program and is committed to building stronger links of trust and respect between staff and students. Carey has a selfless attitude that models high character expectations for our kids”. Her favorite ski days are when all four generations, most SSCV members at some point, ski together on Vail Mountain. Carey lives in East Vail with sons Quin (VSSA Class of 2014) and Todger (VSSA Class of 2017).
