On Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail athletes participated in the Head Rebel Youth Ski League Championships in nearby Loveland. Over three hundred boys and girls birth years 2000-2009 from nine clubs across Colorado took part in a single run slalom race and single run giant slalom race with the girls competing on Saturday and the boys competing on Sunday.

Thirteen girls and sixteen boys from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail participated in Loveland’s Youth Ski League Championships, exhibiting some impressive results. “Our small but mighty team of thirteen girls and sixteen boys took second place in the Ladies and the Men’s Overall Team Awards at the YSL Championships and the SSCV Team also took the second place Overall Award,” shared Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s Youth Ski League Head Coach Rika Moore. “The boys and girls skied their hearts out. They had some terrific performances and learned some valuable lessons about the championship experience and racing as a team.”
