On Monday, March 14, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail hosted the second day of the USSA U16 Rocky Central Junior Championships races at Golden Peak with a Men’s and Women’s Super G.  Top 10 for the men and women are pictured below.

For the men, in the top row, first place went to Zane Worrell of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (middle), second went place to Gus Leblanc of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (right) and third place went to Cole Puckett of Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (left).   In the bottom row, from right to left are Eric Negomir (4th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Isaiah Nelson (5th from Buck Hill), Maxwell Timm (6th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Trey Seymour (7th from Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club), Burke Fancher (8th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Kellen Kinsella (9th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail) and Henry Heaydon (10th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail).  The Men’s “Bibbo” Award for the Super G went to Louis Weiner of Buck Hill as the athlete moving up the furthest from his initial starting position to his final result.  Louis moved from a starting position of 79 to a 35th place finish.

Women’s Super G podium caption-For the women, in the top row, first place went to Allie Resnick of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (middle), second place went to Hannah Soria of Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (right) and third place went to Taylor Brandt of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (left).  In the bottom row, from right to left, are Michaela Strizencova (4th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Ainsley Proffit (5th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Jordan McMurtry (6th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Cleo Braun (7th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Gretchen Pavelich (8th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail), Gisele Thompson (9th from Team Summit) and Tegan Wold (10th from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail).  Karsen Ford of Win Alpine Racing won the Women’s “Bibbo” Award moving from a starting position of 85 to a 50th place finish.
