SSCV’s offers mogul specific programming for skiers from Development Bumps and Jumps Club one-day a week, ages 7-12 to Full Time programming for FIS competition circuit (High School and Post Graduate). Development one day, weekend and 3-day Pre-Academy programs introduce young skiers to all mountain skills, aerial maneuvers and of course, mogul skiing and competition. The best terrain on the mountain is covered in bumps and SSCV Freestyle teaches skiers to access it with confidence and ease. SSCV promotes a fun positive environment for athletes. Our program encourages young athletes to embrace challenge and a lifelong love of skiing.

Part Time and Full Time Programs for Competition Programs, ages 12 and up focus on developing skills for competition performance. Year round training opportunities such as water ramping, physical conditioning, summer camps and early season training complete the training cycle. Competition program athletes work closely with their coaches to develop and employ strong turn concepts, technical skills, aerial expertise and competition tactic & strategy.

Our early season training course on Golden Peak (November, December), our competition arena on Cookshack (January through April) and the Development course on Black Forest (January-March) provide our athletes with some of the best and most plentiful on snow training available anywhere. Trampoline and gymnastic training at SSCV/VSSA’s trampoline center plays a big role in our regular dryland training schedule. Video analysis, group, and one-on-one work with coaches all figure into the scheme for maximizing our athletes’ skill and talent.

SSCV’s dedicated and knowledgeable coaches have helped many young athletes advance to the U.S. Freestyle Team, FIS World Cup, and the Olympics, our sport’s highest stage. The RMF Devo Tour and RMF Competition Series (with stops at Winter Park, Steamboat, Telluride, Vail, Durango and Aspen), however, may be the finest circuit on the planet. SSCV’s Mogul coaches teach skills that last a lifetime and can be used all over the mountain.
